Fire Prevention Week

Fire Prevention Week™ is October 4–10, 2026. “Charge Into Fire Safety™. Safe Charging Is a Superpower” focuses on the everyday charging habits that can help reduce the risk of lithium-ion battery fires and keep homes and communities safer. Along with charging safety tips for adults, NFPA offers kid-focused messaging to help children understand both the power and the potential dangers of lithium-ion batteries. These resources show kids how they can play an active role in staying safe whenever they use or charge devices at home or school.
